Air Canada Cheap Flights
Air Canada is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. It is recognised as one of the safest airlines in the world. Air Canada
provides scheduled and charter air travel, cargo service to more than 150 destinations, holiday packages to more than 90 destinations, and
maintenance, ground handling and training services to other airlines. The main base of Air Canada is Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau
International Airport.
For domestic flights, passengers need to check in one hour before scheduled flight departure. Passengers must check in one and
a half hours for flights to US and two hours earlier for international flights.
Two items are allowed for carry-on per passenger, with a maximum weight of 10kg. The standard item must be smaller than
dimensions of 23 x 40 x 55cm, and the personal item must not exceed dimensions of 16 x 33 x 43cm. Personal items that are allowed include
carry-on suitcases, laptops, camera cases, handbags or other similar items.
For Economy Class, only two items are permitted to be checked, with weight not exceeding 23 kg each, and not more than 158cm
in linear dimensions. Passengers boarding Executive Class and Executive First can have three luggage checked. Each bag must not exceed 32kg and
158 linear cm. The total weight for all three bags must not be more than 69kg. For Air Canada Elite and Super Elite, four items are allowed and
each bag must not exceed 32kg and 158 linear cm. The total weight for all four bags must not be more than 92kg. For Premium Economy and
International Class, only two items are permitted, with each bag not more than 23kg in weight and not exceeding 158 linear cm.
Fees will be charged for all oversized, overweight or extra luggage. A charge of $50 CAD per item will apply for oversized and
overweight luggage for flights within North America and $75 CAD for international flights. A charge of $125 CAD per bag applies for extra bags
for flights within Canada, the US and Mexico, or $225 CAD per bag to all other destinations.
Passengers can make booking changes as long as the ticket is refundable ticket, with an amount of charges. Air Canada advices
passengers to purchase travel insurance in the event of an unexpected trip cancellation or medical emergency.
Children aged two years and below travel free on an adult’s lap on domestic flights. The adult must be above sixteen years
old. Only one child is permitted per adult. If the adult is travelling with more than one child under the age of two, a separate seat must be
purchased for each additional child, at standard adult fare. Children under two years travelling internationally on an adult’s lap must pay 10
percent of a standard adult fare. There is no special discount for senior citizens.
Pets are only permitted to travel in the hold during summer and not allowed to travel if the outside temperature is expected
to fall below zero. Pets must travel in container that can be purchased from Air Canada online and must be booked 24 hours prior to scheduled
flight departure. All pets must be less than 32kg. Air Canada forbids transportations of birds. Guide dogs are carried in the cabin free of
charge.
Passengers must purchase a separate seat for large or fragile musical instruments. Standard baggage allowance applies for all
musical instruments checked in.
Air Canada serves complimentary meal service with a choice of two main meals, breakfast service, complimentary hot and cold
drinks and alcohol on all international flights. A selection of special needs menu is also available for passengers to book in advance.
Passengers can purchase food from a café that is available on all North American flights.
