Continental Airlines Cheap Flights
Continental Airlines is the fourth largest airline in the United States and it is based in Houston. The hubs of Continental
Airlines are at Houston-Bush, Newark, and Cleveland. It flies to destinations throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia.
Passengers may check in between an hour and 24 hours before scheduled flight departure.
One luggage is permitted for one passenger. Each luggage must not exceed the maximum dimensions of 130 linear cm (length +
width + height), and not more than 18kg in weight. One personal item is allowed per passenger, such as handbag, briefcase, or laptop.
Two checked luggage are allowed per passenger on international flights. Each luggage must not exceed 23kg and 157 linear cm.
For domestic US flights, passengers can only check one luggage, not exceeding 23kg and 157 linear cm. A second luggage can be checked in for a
fee of $25 on flights within US, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Canada. This also applies for flights between the 50 US states, Puerto
Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, except Brazil.
Excess baggage rates vary according to destination. To check and additional luggage, passengers must pay a fee of $100. For
luggage that is overweight or oversized, passengers will need to pay between $50 and $100 per luggage.
Passengers may log on to Continental’s website to review reservations, view or change assignments, add frequent flyer details,
add special service request, request a fun, change flights, or print a copy of the booking details. All these may be done on the Manage
Reservations page on the website.
Infants younger than two years old can fly free on an adult’s lap aged 18 years or older. Only one child may travel as a lap
child, should more than one children travel with the same passenger. Any additional children aged two years and below will be charged an
applicable child fare. For international flights, an infant is required to have a ticket. For all destinations outside of the 50 States,
international taxes will be collected. Children aged two years old and above must purchase a ticket and occupy a customer seat with a separate
seat belt.
Senior fares are available to selected destinations for passengers aged 65 and above.
Domesticated pets such as cats, dogs, rabbits, and birds are permitted to be carried in the aircraft cabin on most US domestic
flights. Instead of on a carry-on bag, an in-cabin pet may be carried, subject to a fee of $100 for one way or $200 for round-trip travel. Pet
owners can book their pets online or by calling Continental reservations.
Passengers may carry musical instruments on board or checked as a luggage. A separate seat may also be purchased for a musical
instrument. Otherwise, the musical instrument may be carried on a hand-held bag, with maximum dimensions of 130 linear cm, not exceeding a weight
of 18kg.
For flights to US destinations taking less than an hour, complimentary drinks are served for economy class passengers. Snacks
are offered in economy class flights after 10am. For flights that take over two hours, beverages and complimentary meals or snacks are served on
segments during appropriate meal or snack periods. On flights that take between two and three and a half hours, drinks and cold breakfast snack
will be served. Fresh cold sandwich snacks will be offered for both lunch and dinner. On flights taking more than three and a half hours, drinks
and snack baskets containing cold breakfast items will be served. Fresh hot sandwich snack baskets will be served for lunch or dinner.
