JetBlue Cheap Flights
JetBlue cheap flights is a budget airline based at JFK airport in New York. JetBlue started its services in February of the
year 2000. JetBlue currently flies to over 50 destination points in the United States and to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico Mexico, and the
Bahamas.
For flights that are domestic, travelers are required to be there 20 minutes before flight departure if traveling with only
hand-held bags, while those who need to check-in their baggage must arrive 25 minutes earlier than departure time. For international flights,
check-in counter approximately 45 minutes before flight departure. Passengers may choose to self check-in only if traveling with carry-on bags,
as early as 24 hours prior to departure.
For carry-on baggage, only one bag and one personal item, such as a laptop or women handbag are permitted. Personal items must
be within dimensions of 46 x 38 x 20cm, whereas bags must be within 61 x 41 x 25cm in dimension.
Passengers are allowed to check up to three bags on all flights. This does not apply for flights to Puerto Rico, where a total
number of two items are permitted. Each bag must be less or equal to 32kg in weight. The maximum dimensions for each bag is 158 linear cm.
Excess baggage will be charged $50 if overweight, $50 if oversized and $100 if both.
Travelers will be charged a $20 fee per person for any changes, plus any price difference for the new flight if done online.
For changes made at the call center, passengers will be charged a $25 fee per person, plus any new price difference. If travelling to the same
destination, the flight booking status can be changed to standby status free, only for same day flight. If the original flight was the last
flight for the day, standby travel for the next day’s or the following day’s flights is permitted.
Infants as young as three days up to two years old are allowed to fly on all domestic flights on an adult’s lap with no
charges. For international flights to the Dominican Republic, the charge is $11.95 per child. Senior citizens can fly with JetBlue free.
Pets can be boarded for a $50 fee. A passenger can only bring one pet, except for service animals. All pets must be carried in
a container smaller than 18 x 15 x 8in and put under the passenger’s seat in front. Animals are not allowed on flights landing in Puerto Rico,
the Dominican Republic or the Bahamas.
For carrying musical instruments, the charges are the same as standard luggage. Passengers can buy separate seats to carry
fragile or large instruments instead of getting them checked.
Free drinks and snack are served for all flights. Passengers may purchase alcohol in-flight. Certain airplanes have seat-back
televisions with more than 30 channels. A menu of the snacks and drinks that are available in-flight is available online.
JetBlue has a frequent flyer scheme that is cleverly names True Blue. Passengers may register on JetBlue’s website. True Blue
offers complimentary travel and access to special features in JetBlue’s website, such as credits management from flights that were canceled.
