In 1993 the company began replacement of its aging fleet with a deal for six Boeing 737 aircraft direct from Boeing, and hit a
personal record of carry over 1 million passengers in one year for the first time.
In 1995 Ryanair overtakes Aer Lingus and British Airways to become the largest passenger airline on the Dublin-London route
and continues to grow with over 2 million passengers through out the year. 1997 saw the company open new routes to Leeds Bradford, Cardiff and
Bournemouth and in April that year Ryanair is voted Best Value Airline.
2000 saw Ryanair join the Internet revolution with the launch of their website ryanair.com, within three months there are over
50.000 booking a week through the site, ryanair.com allows passengers access to the lowest cost hotel accommodation, travel insurance, car hire
and rail services. 2006 saw the delivery of the 100th Boeing 737-800 and the launch of the online check-in service, allowing passengers the
opportunity to check-in online across the entire route network.
Ryanair has gone from strength to strength over the years and weathered the hard times where other airlines have disappeared
and even today carrying over 50 million passengers a year over 600 routes across 26 European countries it is still one of, if not the top main
player in budget airfares, always giving new and exciting offers to its customers and with bases all over Europe it is a first stop for anyone
